1. Thanks to the weather and needing to make up a few duals, members of the boy's wrestling team competed in 5 competitions over 6 days last week. The week ended with Raymond Central hosting a dual and multiple tournaments. The tournaments ran smoothly and the team competed well.
2. This Friday they have their final tune-up at the Norris Invite. And next week they will wrestle districts at Boone Central and hopefully qualify a few wrestlers for the state tournament on February 15th-17th in Omaha.
Mr. Kenning says that they have a great team this year that has been decimated by injuries and illness. We still battled to reach our team goal of making state duals and came up just short. Fortunately wrestling also involves individual goals and outcomes so there are plenty more good things to accomplish these last three weeks.
4. We are excited to wrestle in the postseason and hopefully pay off all the hard work that has been put in this year.
