State Track Sendoff

This last week athletes on the Raymond Central track team competed at districts with hope for a ticket to state. Even if athletes didn't make it, many still put on a very good performance representing Raymond Central. Overall the team ended up walking out with 12 events placing and 2 state qualifiers. Alexa Otto, a freshman, will be representing Raymond Central this week in both high jump and 300HI. At districts Alexa placed 2nd in high jump and 3rd in 300HI to secure her ticket to state. Taylor Kopecky, a sophomore, also qualified for state, in both the 200m and 100m. Taylor secured her ticket to state, placing 4th in the 100m and 3rd in the 200m. Good luck girls!
